[Rants? Musix?] The Remedy

Comments off

I was supposed to put “Well,….” as the opening part of this post but I realized that I it’s a bit usual for me to use that word, and it’s now usual for me to keep erasing what I’ve typed then typing new wordings and stuff, spending almost five minutes just for a sentence! Gahd! That might be the reason why I haven’t finished that post that I started last May 13.

Maybe that’s just for posts like this, where random thoughts just come and go (what the heck??). Anyway, I apologize for any grammatical error, and if ever you’ve read the About part of this blog, then you might have known that this blogging thing is also to enhance whatever knowledge I have with the English language. So just comment it out. It’s better to receive your-english-is-so-so-wrong comments than those hey-im-obviously-a-spam comments, but hey, I’m also doing my best to check my own stuff.

I know I haven’t finished my post about my Romblon vacation, the Splash Island trip, the HB summer swimming, the DilNet application and many more, but I just need to post this short entry.

Last election, I supported Dick Gordon to be our country’s president. And when I said supported, I mean, like giving away flyers to motorists, holding a sign board containing Gordon’s achievements, and shouting at the streets to vote for him. Thanks to my friend, John Michael Manalo.

Collide by Howie Day

The dawn is breaking

Yeah

I’m open, you’re closed
Where I follow, you’ll go
I worry I won’t see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

Philippine Election 2010

May 10, 2010 – First Automated National Election. My FIRST voting experience.

We went to the school where our precinct is at around ten in the morning just to be greeted by the long unorganized lines and of course, the burning heat. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) said that the temperature will be higher than what we felt the day before.

Luckily, we already know our clustered precinct (CP) numbers, at least the information that we got for my CP is right. For a little background, the Commission on Elections (ComElec) grouped around five to seven precincts into a CP. So if we have around 300 registered voters in a precinct, then there will be 1500 voters in a single CP. I believe that they’ve done this because of the lack of machines, and this scheme is the reason why some of the voters chose to go home and not to vote.
